Giancarlo Ferrera is Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics of the Milan University since 2011 and he is associated to INFN. After getting his Ph.D. from Rome University in 2007, he was post-doc at the Barcelona University and Florence University. He has held visiting positions at Buenos Aires University and Zurich University. His research activities are mainly focused on quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and collider physics phenomenology. In particular current research projects concern the development of techniques for higher-order and all-order calculations in perturbative QCD and the computation of accurate theoretical predictions for benchmark processes at the Large Hadron Collider such as Higgs boson and vector boson production.
